From Rest to Renewal: Ireland’s Landscapes & Upcoming Boston Art Fair
This past month in the studio didn’t look the way I had planned—and that’s okay.
I was hit with the flu, which wiped me out for a full week and brought my painting schedule to a halt. As an artist, stepping away from the easel—especially unexpectedly—can feel frustrating. The rhythm of daily painting is something I rely on, not just for productivity, but for creative clarity. But sometimes, rest isn’t optional—it’s necessary.
Not long after recovering, I traveled to Ireland—and everything shifted.
Finding Inspiration in the Irish Countryside
Ireland has a way of staying with you. The lush green countryside, the rolling hills, the quiet atmosphere—it’s deeply grounding and endlessly inspiring. Even now, I find myself still dreaming about it. We traveled to Galway, Dingle, Cork, and Dublin. I kissed the Blarney Stone, rode horses, listened to live pub music, and felt completely awed by the lush green rolling hills dotted with baby lambs.
What struck me most was the softness of the landscape. The way the light diffused through cloud cover, the subtle tonal shifts in the greens, the sense of openness and calm—it all felt timeless. These are the kinds of landscapes that don’t just capture your attention—they invite you to slow down and truly see.
As a New England landscape painter, I’ve always been drawn to quiet, nature-inspired scenes. But this trip reignited something in me. I came home not just refreshed, but creatively recharged and excited to get back into the studio.
New Paintings Inspired by Ireland
I’m already beginning to sketch and plan a new series of fine art landscape paintings inspired by the Irish countryside. These pieces will focus on atmosphere, softness, and that sense of peaceful stillness I experienced while traveling.
If you love calming landscape paintings, nature-inspired artwork, or collect original art in the Boston area, I think you’ll really connect with this upcoming work.

Bringing Landscape Art into Your Home
Whether inspired by New England or Ireland, my work is rooted in the idea that landscape paintings can bring a sense of calm and connection into your space. Art has the ability to slow us down, even just for a moment—and that’s something I aim to offer through every piece I create.
